Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC), one of the oldest public sector corporations of the country, established in 1957, is entrusted with the responsibility of development of Cottage, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (CMSME).
The categorical results of this development include: a) increase of production, b) generation of employment, c) alleviation of poverty, d) extending revenues to the treasury of the government, e) expanding the volume of export, and f) contributing to the GDP of the country.
The responsibility of BSCIC is to address all sorts of existing and potential new entrepreneurs under the purview of MSME, which is quite fair and logical.
A large number of educated youths are now highly interested in building their careers as entrepreneurs, and this number is increasing rapidly day by day.
In this situation, BSCIC has established an Industrial Support Centre (BISC) at Sonargaon University Campus with the aim to address the interest of students in building their entrepreneurial careers.
The BSCIC Industrial Support Centre at Sonargaon University Campus provides various services primarily to students. However, its services are also open to anyone interested in setting up an industry or business under CMSME.
Recent seminars, workshops, and training programs organized by BSCIC at Sonargaon University Campus will be updated here.
Media coverage related to BSCIC initiatives, programs, and collaborations with Sonargaon University will be published here.
